Description
The Knipex cable cutter 95 18 225 VDE StepCut XL is suitable for cutting single-wire cables made of copper or aluminum up to 35mm2, multi-wire cables up to 70mm2 and fine-wire cables up to 120mm2. The power joint, the long legs and the optimized cutting edges enable a cut that is up to 60% easier than with compact cable cutters. It has two cutting areas: The graduated main cutting edge keeps smaller and larger cables as close as possible to the joints when cutting, and the front cutting edge is used to gradually separate (nibble) very large cables. The cutting edges are also laser-hardened, with a cutting edge hardness of approx. 56 HRC. Thanks to the minimized leg width, the StepCut XL VDE cable cutters offer comfortable one-handed and two-handed operation, even with large cable diameters, and a pinch protection prevents crushing injuries. The handles are particularly non-slip and comfortable thanks to insulated multi-component covers. Knipex tools that have the special symbol 1000 V are approved for work up to 1,000 volts AC. To ensure that the special insulation can actually withstand the voltage, every tool is subjected to a breakdown test with 10,000 V AC before it leaves Knipex. Item no.: 100050599
