Description

The side cutter for plastic 72 02 125 from Knipex has no bevel to create a straight cutting surface. It was developed specifically for plastics and other soft materials. Its cutting edges are ground flat. It is used, for example, when plastic molded parts have to be mechanically separated from the sprue in plastic production or model making. The ground cutting surfaces enable clean, flush cutting of plastic injection molds and sprues or sprue residues. The sprue is cut off directly on the molded part because the cutting edge runs parallel to the workpiece. Anyone who frequently separates sprues from molded parts will also learn to appreciate the opening spring, as it always saves one step. With a length of 125mm and a weight of 109g, the side cutter 72 02 125 is the smallest plastic side cutter from Knipex. Although these mini side cutters fit in any pocket, in terms of durability they are as good as any large plastic side cutter in this family. It is forged from vanadium electric steel, and is then heated and quenched in oil to achieve high strength. The high quality and hardness of the cutting edges ensure a long service life. The handles are particularly non-slip and comfortable thanks to multi-component covers. Item no.: 1864906
